Item Total Quality Management and Organisational Resilience: A Conceptual Focus on the Nigerian Food and Beverage Sector(Covenant Journal of Entrepreneurship (CJoE) VoL 9 No2, 2025-08) Ufua, Daniel E.; Babalola, Omoniyi S.; Falola, Hezekiah O.; Kehinde, Segun; Pilo, MikeminaThis study explored the impact of Total Quality Management (TQM) on organisational resilience. The study took on a conceptual approach, relying on the trend of findings and ideas from extant literature to understand the current practices of TQM in the Nigerian food and beverage sector. The study developed a suggested model for further improvement on current practices ofTQM implementation in the Nigerian food and beverage sector. This had factors including the emphasises on collaboration for the creative development of TQM approaches that meet the stakeholders' expectations. Others included the need for adequate legal system support to business relationships and obligations with partners and the relevance of human resource management development to address the fickle nature of stakeholders' expectations. This was coupled with the need for operational process evaluation to re-examine an operational process's potency to identify improvement areas and further development of their operations. The study concluded that the TQM organisation and its stakeholders to embrace the connectivity required for effective creativity and innovation needed to support. the implementation of TQM. This has the potential to facilitate the hedge and create respite to address identified challenges to the implementation ofTQM in the Nigerian food and beverage sector. Part of the recommendation was to adopt an empirical approach to explore the topic further and develop new findings to contribute to TQM development in the Nigerian context.Item Strengthening financial motivation and job performance of the Nigerian bankers: The mediating role of workplace mi.ndfuh1ess and employ ees' happiness(Humanities and Social Sciences Letters 2025 VoL 13, No, 2025) Igbinoba, Ebeguki; Falola, Hezekiah O.; Joel, Opeyem; Onayemi, OluwakemiThis study explored the relationships between financial motiYation, worli:place happiness, mindfulness, and job performance in the Nigerian banking industry. Data was collected fi·om 420 employees using self-administered questionnaires and analysed vvith Smart PLS 4.0. T he results showed that financial motivation was positively related to job performance. At the same time, workplace happiness and mindfulness were also positiYely associated with job performance and mediated the relationship between financial motivation and job performance. The result emphasizes workplace mindfulness and employees' happiness as crucial mediators of financial motiYation and hence influences job performance. These findings support the importance of intrinsic motiYation factor s, such as workplace happiness and mindfulness in enhancing job performance. The study concludes that employee happiness is not solely a product of financial motiYation. Employers should talie \·arious factors, including social support and a conducive working environment into account when developing strategies to promote workplace happiness. The findings suggest that increasing financial motiYation through targeted incentives can significantly improYe job performance among Nigerian bankers, especially when complemented with other forms of work mindfulness practice and promoting employees' happiness.Item THE INFLUENCE OF CONSUMER BEHAVIOR ANALYTICS ON PROMOTING INCLUSIVE AND SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC GROWTH: ALIGNING WITH SDG 9(Centrum Badań i Innowacji Pro-Akademia, 2025) Kehinde, Oladele; Kehinde, Segun; Falola, Hezekiah O.; Deborah, Aka; Adebayo, Olufunke; Adesanya, Oluwatoyin Deborah; Kehinde, Kemi; Kehinde, TolaThis study investigates the role of consumer behavior analytics in promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 9 (SDG 9). Thus, this research adopted the social network theory to investigate the direct and indirect effects of network ties on the relationship between environmental responsibility and business model innovation. Our study relied on questionnaire data gathered from 204 SMEs operating in the informal market of a developing economy—Nigeria. The study adopted the partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLSSEM) to capture the direct and indirect relationships between environmental responsibility and business model innovation. We found that while eco-design and waste disposal and management do not have a direct effect on business model innovation, resource management does. Also, while ecodesign and waste disposal and management are directly related to intra-cluster network ties, resource management is not. Our analysis showed a direct relationship between all three environmental responsibility dimensions and extra-cluster network ties. Both intra-cluster network ties and extra-cluster network ties are directly related to business model innovation. The mediating role of extra-cluster network ties on environmental responsibility dimensions and business model innovation was confirmed. However, we did not find a mediating role for intra-cluster network ties in this relationship. By demonstrating the impact of environmental responsibility on business model innovation, we provide a deeper understanding of the need for firms to enhance their business orientation in a broader perspective that connects firm-level sustainability orientation with marketlevel sustainable initiatives.Item Informal Markets Responsiveness to Sub-Saharan Africa’s Production Economy: Complementarity of the Institutional Theory and a Self-Reliance View(Economic Transformation in Sub-Saharan Africa, Volume II, 2026-05-01) Ibidunni, Ayodotun Stephen; Falana, Ranti; Oyewo, Obaloluwa Obed; Edewor, OgheneofejiroThe informal market in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) varies in size across SSA countries ranging from 20% to 65% across countries. Yet, these countries commonly agree to the huge impact of the informal market on their respective national economies. Despite the massive contribution of the sector to employment and economic development of the region, especially in terms of GDP contribution and business opportunities for the bottom line, there is an undisputable institutional void of SSA’s informal market. Our study focused on discussing institutional theorization and the self-reliance view as complementary perspectives to explain the responsiveness of informal markets to the production economy in SSA. Drawing from a systematic review of 42 studies sourced from the Scopus database, our study highlights critical channels in which the informal economy is advancing a production economy in SSA. We reported that the informal markets are noted to facilitate the SSA economy through the internationalization of business operations and collaborations, creating decent work (SDG 8) through the platform economy, supporting the living conditions of women and youths whose contribution to family livelihood is increasing across the region (SDG 10), strengthening cultural ties, and projecting the advancement of ICT adoption across the region’s economy, especially for enhancing the regional innovation and industrialization (SDG 9). We establish that the informal economy should be sustained for the period where SSA governments have not fully identified sustainable measures for absorbing almost 70% of the SSA population that earn their livelihood from the informal economy. Our study establishes critical theoretical, practical, and policy implications.Item Designing for Engagement: Exploring Undergraduate Preferences and Use of Digital Library Resources through a User-Centered Design Lens(New Review of Academic Librarianship, 2026-06) Segun-Adeniran, Chidi D.; ALEGBELEYE, Bunmi Gabriel; Owolabi, Ruth; Olayinka, BuraimoDigital library resources (DLRs) are essential for academic excellence and improved research output, particularly in Nigerian universities with limited physical resources. This study examined how user preferences influence DLR usage by undergraduates in private universities in South-West Nigeria, using the User-Centered Design (UCD) theory. Key indicators considered were access methods, content formats, interface design, interaction modes, and personalization. A descriptive survey design was adopted, and data were collected from 343 students selected through multistage sampling. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for analysis. Findings revealed DLRs were mainly used for assignments, term papers, and research. A significant positive relationship exists between user preferences and DLR utilization, showing the need for libraries to customize platforms for accessibility and satisfaction. Aligning DLR design with user preferences is crucial for optimizing academic outcomes in Nigerian private universitiesItem Attaining Sustainable Development in Africa through Renewable Energy Financing(International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy, 2025) Asemota, Franklin Famous; Olokoyo, Felicia O.; Adetiloye, Kehinde A.; Ehikioya, Benjamin IghodaloFinding a sustainable solution to climate change based on the unique attributes of Africa requires some well-structured bespoke green financial vehicles that will spur development not only from economic standpoint but also in the quality of the environment and social wellbeing of the populace. This study therefore examines the role renewable energy financing in harnessing sustainable development in Africa. The study thus employed the panel ARDL estimation technique to analyse this relationship while limiting the sample size to limited to Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and Egypt representing countries with significant renewable energy investment from 1990 to 2023. Findings depict that in the short run, insignificant relationships were found between renewable energy utilisation and economic sustainability as well as between renewable energy utilisation and environmental sustainability. However, in the long run, the relationships are revealed to be both negative but statistically insignificant for economic sustainability but significant for environmental sustainability. The substantial negative effect of renewable energy usage on carbon emissions follows worldwide expectation and reflects clean energy as a solution to environmental deterioration. This study recommend that government should utilize both fiscal and monetary instrument to encourage renewable energy investment in Africa. This can be in the form of tax incentive and grant on green project that are executed in Africa. Foreign direct investment should be channelled to green project that promote skill enhancement and sustainable workforce. The use of tailored regulation to create a renewable energy market for local and foreign investor and at the same time creating an unfavourable environment for investment in fossil fuel in Africa.Item Agriculture Financing, Poverty and Unemployment Reduction in Nigeria(African Journal of Business and Economic Research Vol 18,, 2025) Adetiloye, Kehinde A.; Nkwodimmah, Pascal; Babajide, Abiola; Osuma, Godswill
