The research critically appraises the relationship between Nigeria’s foreign policy and glocalization. The research observed that Nigeria’s foreign policy has been massively undermined by lack of local content and the superiority of external ideas over popularly generated ones, lack of sustainable development structures, weak institutions, kleptocratic tendencies, favouritism and nepotism over professionalism and meritocracy which all have negatively impacts on the strength of its foreign policy. This study is an assessment of Glocalization dynamics on the Nigerian foreign policy between 1999 and 2015. The research is qualitative and dwelt mainly on secondary source of data collection. The theoretical framework was constructed around National Role Conception, to decipher the role that Nigeria assumes in regional and world politics and how then, it needs to exalt local peculiarities and dynamics to ensure national development and continuity in its perceived roles. Conclusively, Nigeria’s foreign policy practice needs to be shielded from kleptocratic tendencies to accommodate real development and there must be quantitative, qualitative and visible incentives and dividends in terms of economic improvement in daily life of the citizenry, since the totality of the governance framework is theoretically structured to serve the people, serving the people it should.
